Pierogi are a traditional Polish national dish. While similar dumplings exist across Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the word “pierogi” itself is Polish, and the dish holds deep cultural significance in Poland.
Most comparable to Ravioli. It works well as a lunch or light dinner dish. Great pairings include smoked sausage, crispy bacon bits, sautéed onions and mushrooms, fresh veggie salads, tangy sour cream or mustard-horseradish sauce.
